Six major processes of silicone products
2021-12-13
Today, we introduce the six major processes of silicone products:
1 Molding
Molding, this production process is the most common. It is mainly completed by the mold, and the shape of the mold determines the shape of the silicone product. Molded silica gel products are usually molded by high-temperature molds after putting solid silica gel raw materials added with vulcanizing agent into a vulcanizing machine to apply pressure, and high-temperature sulfur is solidified. The hardness of molded silica gel is usually 30°C-70°C. This manufacturing process is relatively simple and suitable for all silica gel products.
2 eject (inject)
This process is a combination of liquid silica gel and plastic.
Its products show good thermal stability, cold resistance, excellent electrical insulation properties, combustion will not produce toxic substances.
Therefore, it has become an irreplaceable material in the production and design of health products, automobiles, baby products, medical products, diving products, kitchen utensils and seals.
3 Extrusion
Extrusion molding, extrusion of Guangdong silicone products is usually through the extruder extrusion silicone molding, generally extruded silicone shape is long, tubular can be cut at will, extrusion art out of the product shape is relatively single, mostly strip. Silicone tube is widely used in the field of medical treatment and mechanical equipment. It can also be used in packaging materials to play a caching role.
4 Calendering
Silicone rubber is kneaded and mixed with silica, silicone oil, etc. to make a mixed rubber, and then a sheet is calendered.
The physical and mechanical properties of the film made by calendering are obviously different between the longitudinal and transverse directions, which is the calendering effect. Specifically, the longitudinal tensile strength of the film is greater than the transverse, the transverse elongation at break of the film is greater than the longitudinal, and the longitudinal shrinkage of the film is greater than the transverse.
The calendering effect is the result of the orientation of macromolecules and needle-like and sheet-like compounding agents along the calendering direction during the calendering process. The size of the calendering effect is related to the composition of the compound, the calendering temperature, the speed, the speed ratio, etc.
For larger products, such as silicone sheet, silicone plate.
Five. perfusion
The operation method of pouring mold or pouring mold: pouring mold or pouring mold is used for relatively smooth or simple products. Without mold lines, labor and time are saved. It is to surround the product or model you want to copy with rubber plates or glass plates, pour the vacuumed silica gel directly onto the product, take out the product after the silica gel is dried and formed, and the mold is formed (Note: the infusion mold is generally made of soft silica gel, which is easier to demould and will not damage the products in the silica gel mold). It is a combination of solid and liquid, using products such as mobile phone sets, luggage sets, etc.
VI. Coating
Fast vulcanization; strong adhesion; good fluidity and easy defoaming. The use of platinum complex catalysis, non-toxic, no odor; excellent thermal stability and cold resistance (the use of temperature -60 ℃ ~ 200 ℃) after molding has good air permeability, heat resistance, and a certain tensile strength;
Excellent anti-slip performance; no pollution; low hardness; strong adhesive bonding. High tear strength; High transparency; Good tensile properties. Wear-resistant, wash-resistant, high temperature resistant; high three-dimensional layer, fabric smooth, soft, flexible texture excellent, good elasticity. Resistant to washing and dry cleaning.
Applied to the cloth above, there is anti-aging effect. Such as silicone gloves, rain boots and so on.
